Bobby Brown felt the wrath of social media last night at BET Honors although the event was pre taped.
New York Daily News reports, The “My Prerogative” singer did attend the award ceremony but it was filmed Jan. 24, one week before the daughter of Whitney Houston was found in her bathtub on Jan. 31.
BET tweeted out a statement explaining that this was taped previously, although many didn’t seem to understand exactly how long ago the event took place.
“Continued prayers for King of R&B Bobby Brown during this difficult time. (The #BETHONORS is pre-taped),” the network tweeted.
“She’s been in that condition for over a month no excuse. To tweet is an insult,” Twitter user @kdpnba wrote.
