Jones will play discredited Michigan State Trooper Amanda Fisher who - after her partner is murdered - attempts to prove Ash's guilt, Deadline reports.
Ash vs Evil Dead is to shoot in New Zealand, with the production team planning to import cars and signs to recreate the show's United States setting.
The TV series is planned to air in late 2015.
