Yes, Nick was to pretending to be out "there" to avoid some questions about Bobbi Kris. I for one barely could watch Nick spacey arse for an hour.
Prior to entering treatment, Gordon, along with his mother, Michelle, opened up to Dr. Phil about his pain and suffering following Bobbi Kristina's hospitalization, appearing distraught as Gordon admitted to substance abuse and broke down over the tragedy.
Nick even admitted to being high off Xanax.
"I have been drinking. I have been doing Xanax," Gordon told Dr. Phil as his mother rubbed his back on the couch. "Um and that's it. I've been so, like, sober besides that."
"You've been drinking a lot though, right?" Dr. Phil replied as Gordon appeared to hyperventilate.
"Yeah. Yeah, I have been," he confessed.

At the end of the episode, Dr. Phil reveals that the Houston family reached out after the interview to shoot down Nick's mother's claims that her son performed CPR on Whitney.
"Nick Gordon did not perform CPR on Whitney Houston and the police report reflects that," said the Houston family rep.
